This trip was great and not only because we saw the Northern lights. The trip was very well organised and our guide, Marta, was great. She made sure we were kept informed and also made sure everyone was aware of the lights when they appeared. The hot chocolate and cinnamon bun at the end we also a great addition especially after standing in the cold.

Our Northern Lights tour was better than we could have even imagined! BG was an amazing guide- super knowledgeable, friendly and happy to answer any and all questions. He made sure we all had the best photo settings and that we all got lots of the professional photos taken. This trip brought us to areas with least light pollution around Reykjavik. Marta, our guide, was simply amazing. She was certain when the clouds would clear for a couple of hours for us to witness the most fascinating aurora lights that we've ever seen. The KPI was strong too, so that helped. Marta took beautiful photographs for many of us to bring home fond memories with. As the group was limited to less than 20 persons, there were ample opportunities for us to take our turns for the photographs, not to mention that the hot chocolate and cinnamon buns were delicious too. Highly recommended!

FAQs

Where am I going to be picked up for my tour?
Pick- up takes place from from bus stops in the city center, hotels/guesthouses around Reykjavik.You can select your pick-up location during the booking process.
What time should I be ready for my tour pick-up?
Pick up starts 30 minutes before departure. It takes us around 30 minutes to pick up everybody, and we never know in advance if you are going to be the first pick up location or the last. We call for your patience and if there’s any kind of problem or delay we will let you know. For any last-minute communication, contact us at the phone number you will find on the top right corner of your ticket.
Will there be bathroom stops?
Every time we stop there’s going to be a toilet close to us. However, sometimes we will be driving long distances in between stops, so make sure you use the restroom every time you have the chance.
Where is the tour going?

The tour doesn’t follow a fixed route. Each night, your expert guide studies the weather and aurora forecasts to choose the best possible location outside Reykjavík (max ca 60km/ 40m), where the skies are darkest and clearest for Northern Lights viewing.

What to Bring

1) Warm Layers – Wearing warm clothes will ensure a comfortable experience. 2) Hat, Gloves & Scarf – Keep your hands, ears, and neck warm while enjoying the adventure. 3) Waterproof Jacket & Pants – The weather in Iceland is unpredictable, be ready for all conditions. 4) Sturdy Shoes/boots – As you’ll be travelling through the Icelandic wilderness. 5) Camera/ Phone – Capture stunning photos.
