Itinerary
Set out on a memorable 5-hour journey from Akureyri with this Goðafoss Waterfall 还有 Forest Lagoon baths tour, designed especially for visitors looking to experience the essence of North Iceland in a single day. This well-paced excursion offers a balance of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and serene relaxation.
Begin your day with a scenic drive to one of Iceland’s most storied natural landmarks, Goðafoss Waterfall. Known as the “Waterfall of the Gods,” this spectacular cascade is steeped in history, tied to Iceland’s conversion to Christianity around the year 1000 AD. The sweeping, horseshoe-shaped falls provide a striking backdrop for photos amid the rushing water and volcanic cliffs.
The tour continues through the lush Reykjadalur and Aðaldalur valleys to Grenjaðarstaður, one of the largest and best-preserved turf house farms in the country. Step into the past as you explore rooms filled with traditional Icelandic artifacts, offering an authentic look into the daily lives of 19th-century farmers.
Your final destination is the Forest Lagoon, a modern geothermal spa tucked into a tranquil forest overlooking Eyjafjörður fjord. Slip into the naturally heated pools, unwind in the sauna, or enjoy a drink from the swim-up bar as you soak in the peaceful surroundings. A calming end to a day full of discovery, before your drop-off in Akureyri.
