Aurora Reykjavík was founded by us – Grétar Jónsson and Katarina Raker – two passionate aurora experts and award-winning photographers who have spent years chasing and capturing the Northern Lights across Iceland.

Through our work, we kept seeing the same challenge:
travelers came to Iceland hoping to experience the aurora, but many lacked the knowledge, timing, or conditions to truly make the most of it.

We knew it didn’t have to be that way.

So we set out to create a place where every Northern Lights journey could begin – with understanding, preparation, and inspiration.
