Your excursion begins with a pick-up in central Reykjavik, where you'll board a Mini-bus and head out for the adventure.
Once you're on the road, we'll drive along Route 1 before venturing into Iceland's remote wilderness, surrounded by stunning mountains and glaciers.
The journey will take you to the base of the Kötlujökull glacier, where you'll be amazed by the breathtaking sight of striped layers of colorful ice, each telling a story of thousands of years of history.
Your expert guide will share fascinating insights about the glacier and the Katla Ice Cave, which you will soon explore after a short hike—an exciting and educational experience combined.
On the way back to Reykjavik, we'll make stops at two iconic waterfalls: Skogafoss, nestled in the picturesque Skógar area, rich in folklore, and the stunning Seljalandsfoss, which cascades from the famous Eyjafjallajökull volcano.

- Where am I going to be picked up for my tour?
Pick- up takes place from from bus stops in the city center, hotels/guesthouses around Reykjavik.You can select your pick-up location during the booking process.
- What time should I be ready for my tour pick-up?
Pick up starts 30 minutes before departure. It takes us around 30 minutes to pick up everybody, and we never know in advance if you are going to be the first pick up location or the last. We call for your patience and if there’s any kind of problem or delay we will let you know. For any last-minute communication, contact us at the phone number you will find on the top right corner of your ticket - Will there be bathroom stops?
Every time we stop there’s going to be a toilet close to us. However, sometimes we will be driving long distances in between stops, so make sure you use the restroom every time you have the chance. - Is it possible to purchase food/drinks during the tour?
Yes, it will be possible to purchase food and drinks at some of the stops. For your comfort, we however recommend bringing some snacks and a water bottle with you.
What to Bring
The appearance of the ice cave may differ from the photos, as ice caves are natural formations that are constantly evolving. Their look can change depending on the season, time of day, lighting, and other factors. However, they are always an incredible sight to behold!
The tour operates in all weather conditions, so dress accordingly for Iceland's unpredictable climate.
