From the initial contact all the way through, this company was great to deal with. Rebecca, in the office, was prompt to answer all questions and helped plan an itinerary that suited us. Our tour guide Agnes was amazing. She was friendly, funny, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She fit in perfectly with our family. Agnes made sure we were seeing everything we showed an interest in. Apart from the planned activities, she stopped for us to pat Icelandic horses, look inside caves and told tales about trolls along the way. She also organised great guides for tours we added on such as the ice cave tour. Christian was the most fantastic Northern Lights guide you could ask for. His passion for the phenomenon is second to none and he has even created his own app. He explained his vast knowledge, pointed out everywhere we needed to look and took amazing photos. Booking a private tour for our group was great. We saw all the sites and had the time we needed at each one without having to worry about planning and navigating. The local knowledge of the guide made our trip easy and interesting.

Our guide was a former Belgian - sorry, forgot his name - and the driver was a big friendly Icelander - both were very friendly and accommodating with blankets, hot chocolate, etc. They were not willing to settle for the first stop finding lights, instead insisting on continuing the hunt and striking gold on a subsequent stop. Very patiently took photos of everyone to share online later. Highly recommend.

We were nervous about seeing the lights as it was a bit overcast and the forecast wasn’t showing very promising conditions for the light, but let me tell you, the forecasts can be wrong! We were taken to one spot early and caught a slight glimpse, but Baldwin thought we could find better, so we hit the road and found a great spot only a 20 minute drive out of town. We were treated to an hour long light show that was breathtaking. The hot chocolate was great, and Baldwin had a lot of information to give about the lights. Be prepared to sit/stand outside, but the van is conditioned well. Would go again, especially with Baldwin.

Where am I going to be picked up for my tour?
Pick- up takes place from from bus stops in the city center, hotels/guesthouses around Reykjavik.You can select your pick-up location during the booking process.
Will there be bathroom stops?
Every time we stop there’s going to be a toilet close to us. However, sometimes we will be driving long distances in between stops, so make sure you use the restroom every time you have the chance.

What to Bring

1) Warm Layers – Wearing warm clothes will ensure a comfortable experience. 2) Hat, Gloves & Scarf – Keep your hands, ears, and neck warm while enjoying the adventure. 3) Waterproof Jacket & Pants – The weather in Iceland is unpredictable, be ready for all conditions. 4) Sturdy Shoes/boots – As you’ll be travelling through the Icelandic wilderness. 5) Camera/ Phone – Capture stunning photos.
