Instead of the usual stop at 5 or 6 quick spots (like food trucks or take out windows), this food tour was more leisurely and relaxed (sit down at 4-5 different locations) .... more time to enjoy the food and listen to our excellent guide. A good selection of Iceland cuisine (hot dogs, herring, grilled cheese sandwich, marinated shark and more). Our group ranged in age from 4 to 75 with our 10-year-old grandson rating it as one of his top Iceland adventures.

Our guide Bo was fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all things Iceland, not just food. I hit him with all kinds of questions: culture history (including Irish influences on Icelandic cultures), economic industry, hunting… it was so fun and interesting. The food was great!

Great activity to start learning about Iceland and its culture. Loved having Gardar as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable. Answered all of our questions and gave us great suggestions on what we could do after the tour and later on while in Iceland. We ate lamb soup, salmon crostini, goose crostini, Icelandic hot dog, cod fish meal, fermented shark, cake, and drink. Quite an experience for me! 100% recommend this experience!
