Medical Form – Participants must complete and sign a medical statement to ensure they meet the health requirements for snorkeling in near-freezing waters:
- have read, signed, and followed directions on our online Snorkeling Silfra Medical Statement
- have our Snorkeling Medical form signed off by a doctor if they are age 60 or older
- sign our liability release form at the start of the snorkeling tour
- be at minimum 150cm / maximum 200cm – be at minimum 45kg / maximum 120kg
- fit within our dry suit size chart
- be comfortable in water and be able to swim
- be physically fit
- be ready to wear a sometimes tight & constricting dry suit
- be able to communicate in English
- not be pregnant
- eat well before the tour

Itinéraire

Embark on an unforgettable snorkeling adventure in Iceland’s Silfra fissure. This tour departs from Reykjavík, providing transportation to Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. During the one-hour drive, your guide will share insights into the unique geology and cultural history of the area.

Upon arrival, you’ll gear up in a dry suit and receive a comprehensive briefing from your experienced PADI-certified guide. The snorkeling experience lasts approximately 30 to 40 minutes, allowing you to explore the four main sections of Silfra: Big Crack, Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral, and Silfra Lagoon. The crystal-clear glacial water offers unparalleled visibility, providing a surreal experience as you float between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

After the snorkeling session, warm up with hot chocolate and cookies before returning to Reykjavík, where the tour concludes. This small-group tour ensures personalized attention, with a maximum of six snorkelers per guide.
