The business is ran by a husband/ wife combo. It’s been over a month now and I can’t seem to remember our tour guides name, but she is an amazing, sweet woman who genuinely wants you to accomplish your goal of seeing the northern lights. At first we were slightly disappointed when we only saw the “green rainbow” and just as my buddy was starting to get impatient and request a different spot to scope out, the woman kindly said “this is the best spot - wait a bit longer” not even 5 mins later, we’re we graced with the aurora lights “dancing” for a solid 5 mins.Pro tip: the northern lights are highly unpredictable. Prepare yourself for the worst by accepting the fact that you may not get to see the lights at all, during your trip. I was extremely lucky in my first try. Do not get discouraged and take it out on ANY tour guide, as they have no control over a phenomenon.

The driver picked us up at our accommodations and took us to a good place to view the northern lights.. He even helped with camera settings so we could get a good photo. Good excursion!

Amazing tour with a very knowledgeable and passionate guide. People that work there must love their job. We had a beautiful northern lights tour even that you couldn't see anything in town where the starting point is - they know where to take you, they are very well prepared and in touch with different locations so each tour can go to a different place depending on the sky clarity, the forecast and insight info from their employees. You can also buy a delicious hot chocolate and some Icelandic donuts that the guide prepared before the tour! Wonderful experience.

    Pick- up takes place from hotels/guesthouses around Akureyri.You can select your pick-up location during the booking process.
  • Will there be bathroom stops?
    We will be driving in the Icelandic wilderness with limited access to facilities. Make sure you use the restroom every time you have the chance.
  • Is it possible to purchase food/drinks during the tour?
    Yes, it will be possible to purchase hot drinks and sweet treats on board. For your comfort, we however recommend bringing some snacks and a water bottle with you.
