TRAVELERS’ REVIEWS

Life size whales are up all around you. You feel as you are walking underwater. There's multiple videos to watch along the way. A section to listen to all the different sounds certain whales make.

Amazing and intriguing museum. Their foam models of whales are incredibly detailed and true-to-size. There is even a true-to-size model of a blue whale.

Presumably you’re into whales if you visit and this was such a fantastic experience. Well curated, beautiful life size replicas really show off the stunning scale of these mesmerising creatures. The in-house cinema shows two films - one is 50 minutes and one is 60. If you time things well and watch both the trip could last for about 3h but with only seeing one we spent about 1h40 inside. Plenty for kids to do - colouring, quizzes and origami. A lot of love and passion has gone into putting this museum together. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

We stopped here right after the Lava Show which are very close to each other. It just happened as we arrived a guided tour was starting, so we jumped in that. The guided tour was very good and informative about various whales throughout the building. The whales are lifelike sizes which is pretty cool. There’s also a small cafe and gift shop.

Such a lovely place, calm and serene and for those of us who get seasick as badly as I do it’s the closest thing to meeting these incredible creatures in real life
