The day begins with a visit to Seljalandsfoss, a 60-meter waterfall famous for the pathway that leads behind its cascading waters. Just a short walk away is Gljúfrabúi, a lesser-known waterfall partially hidden within a cliffside gorge.

Further along the coast, you’ll stop at Skógafoss, one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls. On sunny days, mist often gives rise to vivid rainbows. The tour then continues to the charming village of Vík í Mýrdal, nestled beneath steep green hills and overlooking the vast North Atlantic.

Nearby is Reynisfjara, the world-famous black sand beach, where you’ll see the Reynisdrangar sea stacks rising from the ocean and striking basalt column formations carved by volcanic activity and the sea. Before returning to Reykjavik, you’ll approach Sólheimajökull glacier, an outlet of the Mýrdalsjökull ice cap. Here, you’ll have the chance to walk up to the glacier’s edge, marveling at its rugged surface and shades of blue ice.
