Set off on a captivating 12-hour journey from Reykjavík to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, often called “Iceland in a nutshell” for its diverse landscapes. Departing at 08:00, you’ll pass through the moss-covered lava fields of Berserkjahraun, rich with Viking legend. Your first stop is the iconic Kirkjufell mountain, famous for its unique shape and picturesque waterfalls. Continue to the black pebble beach of Djúpalónssandur, steeped in shipwreck stories, then visit the charming village of Arnarstapi, home to the natural rock arch Miðgjá. Explore the 19th-century Búðakirkja church and visit Ytri-Tunga, where you can spot playful seals basking on the shore.

On the return journey, enjoy views of dynamic lava fields and basalt columns, showcasing the raw beauty of Iceland’s nature. Before returning to Reykjavík, stop in Borgarnes for a chance to try an Icelandic hot dog or other refreshments.

This was an incredible adventure. I got to see so much Iceland, meet new people and take wonderful photographs! It was amazing to stand on a lava bridge, see seals on the rocks, and stone trolls! Justinas was my guide and he was brilliant! He gave pointers on where to take the best photographs, especially around Kirkjufell. He was responsive to the group as well; we all liked random photo spots and unique moments - and he facilitated this incredibly well. Justinas was knowledgeable and personable. I'd highly recommend this trip.

  • Where am I going to be picked up for my tour?
    Pick- up takes place from from bus stops in the city center, hotels/guesthouses around Reykjavik.You can select your pick-up location during the booking process.
  • What time should I be ready for my tour pick-up?
    Pick up starts 30 minutes before departure. It takes us around 30 minutes to pick up everybody, and we never know in advance if you are going to be the first pick up location or the last. We call for your patience and if there’s any kind of problem or delay we will let you know. For any last-minute communication, contact us at the phone number you will find on the top right corner of your ticket
  • Will there be bathroom stops?
    Every time we stop there’s going to be a toilet close to us. However, sometimes we will be driving long distances in between stops, so make sure you use the restroom every time you have the chance.
  • Is it possible to purchase food/drinks during the tour?
    Yes, it will be possible to purchase food and drinks at some of the stops. For your comfort, we however recommend bringing some snacks and a water bottle with you.

1) Warm Layers – Wearing warm clothes will ensure a comfortable experience. 2) Hat, Gloves & Scarf – Keep your hands, ears, and neck warm while enjoying the adventure. 3) Waterproof Jacket & Pants – The weather in Iceland is unpredictable, be ready for all conditions. 4) Sturdy Shoes/boots – As you’ll be travelling through the Icelandic wilderness. 5) Camera/ Phone – Capture stunning photos. 6) Food & drinks – We’ll also make stops on the way, if you wish to purchase snacks and beverages while on tour.
