Hunting for the Aurora Borealis – Music in the Dark via Mountaineers of Iceland

Hunting for the Aurora Borealis – Music in the Dark via Mountaineers of Iceland

Long dark winter nights are never as dreary as they may seem: Iceland is compensated with the natural phenomenon of the Northern Lights, which can often be seen dancing in the Icelandic sky. We take you on a mystery-filled tour by super truck; the evening spiced with excitement and surprises, away from the city lights and into the landscape.
We make our way towards the old historical village of Eyrarbakki where we will get acquainted with the colorful Saga Myths and Icons through the songs and lyrics of Saga Music, led by Valgeir, one of Iceland’s most beloved musicians. Taking place in Bakkastofa or the Old Fish Factory on the seashore, guests will enjoy hot soup and homemade bread before heading out again into the darkness, right by the ocean. With a clear sky and a little luck, the Northern Lights might just enter the stage and salute their admirers to top off an incredible night.
